An homage to the great French Brandies. This collection is a study in French oak elegance, showcasing the sophisticated, nuanced influence of two distinct French regions. You receive three bottles of our rich, fruity Armagnac Finish and three bottles of the classic, dried fruit complexity imparted by our Cognac XO Cask Finish. Twice-distilled in copper pot stills, these rums resonate perfectly with the subtle, mature spice of their French oak lineage. A refined and beautifully balanced set for the luxury spirits enthusiast.

  • Armagnac finish (x3) - 700 ml, @40% abv

  • XO Cognac finish (x3) - 700 ml, @40% abv

Armagnac Cask Finish

  • Cask Origin: Gascony, France (The traditional region for Armagnac). These casks impart notes of dried fruits, caramel, vanilla, and spice.

  • The Finish: A sophisticated French oak influence that harmonizes the rum's base with classic aged spirit notes.

  • Tasting:
    Nose:     Dried apricots, prune, and baking spice, wrapped in a smooth, warming aroma. The base rum provides a floral, sugarcane backdrop.
    Palate: Elegant and complex. A round, velvety texture with sweet raisin and fig notes, finishing with polished oak and subtle spice.


Cognac Cask Finish

  • Cask Origin: Charente, France. Cognac is twice-distilled in copper pot stills, making it a perfect match for the Casa Barú pot-still profile. Well-aged Cognac develops notes of figs, concentrated prunes, sandalwood, and cedar.

  • The Finish: A subtle but distinguished layer of old French oak that enhances complexity.

  • Tasting Notes:
    Nose:     Distinguished aromas of concentrated prunes, figs, and dried apricots. Notes of sandalwood and eucalyptus add an exotic lift.
    Palate: Refined and mature. Silky mouthfeel with layers of dried fruit, oak spice, and a long, gentle finish of tobacco and tea.
